Pen & Ink Drawing: The Ansonia

I'm lucky that I get to call New York City home. One of the things I love about this place is the architecture. From the townhouses to the museums and pre-war apartment buildings, there's just an insane amount of inspiration everywhere. Built in 1899, The Ansonia is a complete marvel. The detail, scale and overall beauty is just plain nuts. My home is across the street from this stupidly good looking pile of bricks so I get to see it every day. And every day I want to try drawing it. Here is the first of what may be many different takes on an NYC icon.
